She has worked as a journalist for the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal, focusing on different social issues such as immigration, drug addiction and hunger. In 2012, Columbia Journalism Review named her one of the "40 Women Who Changed Media Business in the Past Forty Years."

The reception will take place in the Franklin Faculty Lounge on the 4th Floor. Light refreshments will be served.

Parking is $12 at all parking structures.  The closest parking for the Musick Law Building is in PSX (Parking Structure X) at Entrance 3 off of Figueroa.  Additional parking is in PSA at Entrance 6 and PSD at Entrance 4.  There is some very limited metered street parking on Figueroa and Flower Streets; no parking on Exposition.
